Day 2: Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Telouet – Aït Benhaddou
After breakfast, early departure at 08:30 AM from your riad/hotel in Marrakech to cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass (2260 m) – the highest road pass in Morocco, offering spectacular panoramic views of the mountains, valleys, and Berber villages. After a scenic stop here, continue towards the Telouet Valley along the ancient salt mine route, historically used to transport these prized goods to the Sultans' court. Arrival at the village of Anmiter, overlooking the Glaoua lands, home to an ancient fortified citadel. Lunch at your own discretion on site. In the afternoon, visit the Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its clay architecture and for serving as the backdrop for numerous Hollywood films. Dinner and overnight stay at: Riad / Hotel
Day 3: Aït Benhaddou – Zagora – M'hamid Elghizlane
After breakfast, depart for M'hamid Elghizlane. En route, cross the eastern Anti-Atlas and its arid, rocky landscapes up to the Tizi-n-Tinfifte Pass. In Agdz, follow a green trail lined with oases and small villages along the Draa River (Oued Draa). Visit the pottery workshops and traditional kiln in Tamegroute near Zagora. Continue to Tagounite before arriving in M'hamid, where the Draa Valley and civilization end. Around 04:00 PM, check in to your hotel and freshen up. Then, take a short walk to admire the sand dunes and a magnificent sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at: Riad / Hotel
Day 4: M'hamid Elghizlane – Tinfou – Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga Early wake-up to admire the sunrise over the desert. After breakfast, depart for the Merzouga desert. En route, pass through Tinfou, Taghbalt, and Tazarine. Enjoy a scenic stop in Tazarine before continuing to Rissani, an ancient Saharan town in the Tafilalt region. Stop for a photo outside the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. Explore a fossil workshop along the way. Arrival in Merzouga, where you will enjoy a camel ride across the sand dunes. Settle into a comfortable nomad camp for an evening with traditional drumming, sunset views, and a night in a traditional tent. Dinner and overnight stay at: Desert Camp (Bivouac)
Day 5: Merzouga – Tinghir & Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, depart from the Merzouga dunes to explore the Todra Gorges, the Dades Valley, and Ouarzazate. Visit the impressive cliffs of the Todra Gorges, then continue to Boumalne Dades with its unique landscapes and ksours. After lunch, continue towards the Valley of the Roses and admire its floral distillation factories. Proceed through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay at: Riad
